Essential companions receive a free ticket when accompanying a disabled visitor. Please book via the box office.
Wheelchair Users & Mobility
- Level access to the building via the main entrance on Theatre Square
- 6 wheelchair spaces in the stalls with companion seats alongside
- 2 wheelchair spaces in the circle, accessed via lift
- Accessible toilets on all levels
- Lift access to all public areas
- 8 accessible parking bays in the theatre car park
- Aisle transfer seats available for those who can transfer from a wheelchair
D/deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Infrared hearing enhancement system available throughout the Main Auditorium — collect a headset from the box office
- British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performances for selected shows
- Captioned performances for selected shows, with text displayed on screens beside the stage
- Hearing loop at the box office counter
Blind and Partially Sighted
- Audio described performances for selected shows, with a pre-show touch tour at 6pm
- Large print cast sheets and programmes available on request
- Assistance dogs are welcome in the auditorium — please let the box office know when booking
- Staff trained to provide sighted guide assistance
Sensory Needs
We offer relaxed performances for selected shows. These performances are adapted for people who benefit from a more relaxed environment, including (but not limited to) those with autism, learning disabilities, sensory or communication needs, or anyone who would benefit from a less formal setting.
Relaxed performances typically include:
- Adjusted lighting and sound levels
- House lights kept at a low level throughout
- A quiet space available if you need a break
- Visual story and information pack sent in advance
- Friendly, understanding staff and a welcoming atmosphere
